Steven Jaklic is part of the Manhattan Orthopedic Care team as an Orthopedic Physician Associate. He is credentialed through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), licensed as a medical provider in both New York and New Jersey, and certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
Steven specializes in Orthopedics with a focus in Sports Medicine under the direction of Dr. Armin M. Tehrany, M.D. He evaluates, diagnoses, and treats our patients in the office setting by performing physical exams, reading imaging, and giving injections. Additionally, he is one of Dr. Tehrany’s first assistants in the operating room as well as a provider of post-operative care.
Steven grew up in western Pennsylvania with an interest in sports, first as an athlete and fan, then later as a career. He attended Pennsylvania State University and played collegiate baseball while studying abroad at the University of Sydney in Australia. After moving to New York City, he attended Long Island University- Brooklyn Physician Assistant Program to obtain a Master of Science degree in 2016. During his graduate school clinical rotations, he focused his studies on Orthopedics and Sports Medicine.
In his spare time, he enjoys attending sports events, riding his bike around the city, trying new foods, and participating in several sports leagues. He is involved in New York Cares as a volunteer and has a passion for after-school events for children in his community.
