Today we share with you the story of an extremely wonderful woman, Barbara Wichaa, who underwent tendon repair surgery.  She’d been struggling with terrible shoulder pain due to the tendon tear in her left shoulder. For a long time, Barbara was afraid to do any physical activity that required her to move fast, lift anything or even move her arm up and down. She didn’t have a full range of motion, which made her everyday life difficult. Especially because she fought with Rheumatoid arthritis, connective tissues disease, and fibromyalgia. Tendon Repair Surgery   Having in mind her delicate situation, the whole team at Manhattan Orthopedic Care provided the most comfortable and most tender care for Barbara during her tendon repair surgery. What made the situation even more delicate was the diagnosis Dr. Tehrany gave Barbara for her other shoulder. Fortunately, the right shoulder was not that urgent and she didn’t require surgery at the moment. Six months after her tendon repair surgery she is feeling good and fit. The shoulder surgery has made her shoulder her best joint. In her video testimonial, Barbara shares her gratitude to Dr. Tehrany and the whole team. Watch the video and you’ll understand why she quickly became a very dear friend to us.

“My name is Barbara and I had a surgery on the left shoulder with Dr. Tehrany, and I would like to share my experience. I went, consulted. I felt extremely comfortable I felt that he knew me diseases as well as I and my doctor. He sent me for further testing and was confident that he could help me and to relief me of pain for a longer duration. Again, I was terrified, still, because the pain that I’m constantly in and knowing the progression of my disease and what could happen, I was afraid to do too much. To do the 100% of everything that was suggested knowing that I would tear, and I was just afraid of wasting time. The day before the surgery… I’m sorry, the day of the surgery Dr. Tehrany came to me. The confidence that he had gave me the reassurance to have the confidence in him, to allow him to do everything that he needed to do. And I’m glad I listened. He would give me longer relief and a better quality of life. My left shoulder I consider it be my best joint, which is amazing because there was only one tendon left and having Rheumatoid arthritis, connective tissues disease and fibromyalgia, and a slew of other things wrong I’m so grateful. He sent me for PT right away, with Jason at TLC, who helped me to get the full range of motion. Not just this shoulder, but also the right one because there was injury and tearing to the right, that we do not have to do surgery at this point, we are able to postpone it for who knows. It’s been already 6 months. We thought that we would be doing surgery in December, and now it’s March and I’m good, I’m all good. I’m so grateful, I thank God for the whole experience and bringing me to Dr. Tehrany. I will definitely always refer anyone and I will definitely come back because there are other joints that I’m sure that need to be worked on eventually.”
Thank you, Barbara, so much for your warm and kind words! 🙂
