Samuel L. Jackson devastated his fans when he jokingly revealed that he won’t do any more nude scenes because of a recent shoulder injury. Jokes aside, it was a bad injury from a an acting stunt gone wrong that left his shoulder with a nasty bump from the displaced bone. The long recovery will require a lot of therapy and perhaps shoulder surgery. Shoulder surgery

‘When I landed on my shoulder the ligaments which hold the clavicle down snapped and my clavicle jumped up… So yeah all my topless, naked, nude scenes are done now!’, Mr. Jackson explained on The Late Show with David Letterman.
The Hollywood star was flipped from seven feet from a freezer tied to a helicopter, which was a part of a stunt for the upcoming movie Big Game. He said that he didn’t feel pain, but his shoulder suffered a trauma to the muscled that hold his ligaments, leaving him with stubbing feeling every time he took a breath. His shoulder class 3 separation injury will take his shoulder up to 6 months to heal. Luckily for him, his shoulder injury can be treated without surgery. Mr. Jackson explained all this on The Late Show, saying that, after therapy, he now has full motion with his shoulder, and that he is expecting to get back to golf in few days.
“I love the way Samuel L. Jackson explained the surgery options in such detail!!! I disagree with the end part where he suggests that the operation is only cosmetic and that putting screws in the separated shoulder makes the shoulder worse. It sounds as though he had a Type 3 separation that can be treated without surgery and so he elected to avoid surgery. The good news is…. it should not hinder his golf game at all!”, saysManhattan Orthopedic Care’s specialist Dr. Armin Tehrany.
