Inside the surgery center with Dr. Tehrany: Arthroscopic Rotator Cuff Reconstruction

Posted on

Orthopedic injuries and conditions occur in many people every day. While there are numerous treatment options, many patients avoid seeing a doctor because they are afraid of needing surgery. Surprisingly to many patients, surgery is not necessarily a stressful and overwhelming experience.

Dr. Armin Tehrany perfectly understands the need for potential surgery patients to realize that surgery is not as scary as it sounds. For that reason, he welcomes everyone into the surgery center via videos recorded during the procedure.

In his last video, Dr. Tehrany provides a more in-depth insight into a rotator cuff reconstruction and biceps tendon repair. The patient, a 63-year-old gentleman, has been struggling with chronic rotator cuff pain and biceps tendon pain. Unfortunately, the conservative treatment options he tried, didn’t help his shoulder, and he was in constant and agonizing pain.

Led by his profound knowledge and extensive experience, Dr. Tehrany immediately understood the severity of the patient’s condition and recommended a shoulder surgery to address both issues.

After he and his team created a unique care plan for the patient, Dr. Tehrany and his physician associate performed the rotator cuff repair and biceps tendon repair.

The video gives an up-close and inside look of the problems in the patient’s shoulder. While performing the surgery, Dr. Tehrany thoroughly explains the surgery steps and guides the viewers through the process of repairing the damage.

After the surgery, the patient felt received excellent post-surgery care. Dr. Tehrany and his team were by his side during his recovery, providing the orthopedic support the patient needed.

With this video, Dr. Tehrany strives to explain that even though surgeries may be terrifying, they can also be a smooth experience that significantly improves the quality of life.
